Third planet (of eight) in the binary system 09 625a and b Lyra, two faint k-type stars separated by less than 20 million kilometers. Aurora has a single moon whose mass is over fifty percent that of the planet. The strong iron cores in each body produce a dynamo effect as they orbit one another, producing powerful aurorae which the colonists, numbering some 2.3 billion, have learned to harness for energy. Aurora is 55% covered by oceans, and has four continental land masses. Planetary Government is achieved through coordination among the planet’s “Synerplexes,” combined commercial-industrial-governmental enterprises to which most citizens owe affiliation.
