Delta is the fourth largest and most densely populated continent on the planet Sapphire. Its shape has been described variously as resembling a bird’s wing seen from a tangent and a great big giant nose. It occupies a temperate zone of the planet’s northern hemisphere and is completely surrounded by water, the Northern Cerulean Sea to the east and the Borealan Sea to the west. The planetary capital of Corvallis, the continent’s largest city, is situated near the center of the continent on the Corvallis River. As of the Solar Year 7200, approximately 1.2 billion people lived on Delta continent.
The continent is bisected by the Corvallis River, the third largest river system on the planet. To the east lies the Wall of God mountain range which separates the continent’s midlands from its coastal plain. Most of the population lives in a strip of cities along the Corvallis River and extending into the Corvallis Delta, including Delta City, Fountainhead, and Hadrian. Along its southern coast is another heavily populated zone dominated by the cities of New Tenochtitlan and Shadowlands.
