Lady Goldenrod was one of the esteemed Lords and Ladies of the planet Winter. She was a beautiful and vivacious (and moderately insane) woman who had become immortal (or at least extremely long-lived) by the planet's unique environmental conditions.
Lady Goldenrod was unique in her enthusiasm to meet the new visitors, and it was she who suggested holding a Parliament Ball to welcome them. It was Lady Goldenrod who introduced Keeler to General Ziang and she accompanied him to Lord Ziang's estate at Habi Zod. She refused to accompany Keeler to Shipwreck; where the original colony transport had set down on the planet. Keeler rebuked her numerous advances, but she eventually had carnal relations with Blade Toto; as did many alien women in the first five or six books.
